Review 2021

I originally bought my air vest back in February 2021 because I wanted piece of mind while riding that if I did fall off I would be protected and less likely to get injured. I was only able to guess my size as small based on the limited information provided by the online store and my usual size as small when purchasing jackets or clothing I thought it might be similar. I was very wrong though, only wish I had you all as resources originally! After a recent fall and thus deployment of my vest I realized that my hip and tailbone were completely unprotected. Fortunately, I didn’t fall on my hips this time and the way I fell the air vest gave me the cushion I needed. It 100% is worth every penny and your wealth of knowledge is invaluable and ensured that I did end up with a proper fitting air vest that will cover my hips appropriately in case I fall off again. It’s so important to get properly fitted safety gear so that it can do what it’s intended to when the time comes, I’m thrilled I’ll be properly protected now. As an added bonus, having you all out to the farm for a demo and fitting was such a fun way to spend time with the barn family.

My dad and I have been riding together for six years now. We began riding with Ms. Julie, but unfortunately when she moved barns it was difficult for us to find time for the long drive. Looking and trying out various barns in our area, we could not find any instructor like Ms. Julie and decided to come back to her. Constantly teaching us new things; whether it be riding or how to care for horses, she’s always been there for us. She’s taught me personally how to get through my anxiety not only while I ride, but also how to manage every day life. Ms. Julie and Bruce care for not only the safety of the horses but really care for the safety of the rider. Trusting her with the choices we make while riding, we purchased the air vests knowing she does it for a reason. Bruce, helped us SO much and taught us the benefits of using this vest to ride. Not only did they explain, but they thoroughly showed us how to use it and made sure that the vests fit accordingly to our bodies. Two months ago, while riding, I had an incident where the horse threw me against the wall. The vest immediately inflated and protected me very well.  Ms. Julie immediately came to me and made sure to put me in a recovery position. While checking to see if I was okay, my dad made the executive decision to send me to the ER to make sure everything was intact. The doctors in the hospital could not believe that through that intense fall, I only came out with a few bruises. After two weeks of rest, I came back to ride with no pain. I thank Bruce and Ms. Julie for their care and attention to what we need to protect ourselves!  I thank them very much for not only caring about the horses but for me as well in BSR Stables.
